Today, I am enjoying this collection of photographs by George W. French from the Maine State Archives' online exhibit, Workaday World of Maine. While he was the official photographer for the Maine Development Commission, these images from the 1930s and 40s represent his preferred genre of Mainers engaged in everyday activities at home and at work.
